About the product
What is Nyrano?
Nyrano is locksmith business software for automotive locksmiths, made first for auto locksmiths in the UK and Ireland. It keeps jobs, quotes, customers and their vehicles, key blank and transponder stock, payments and reports in one place, and it sends an automatic WhatsApp check-in after each paid job. It runs as a web app with an Android app for field work.
Who is Nyrano for?
Nyrano is for independent automotive locksmiths and small locksmith teams: solo operators working from a van, shops with a counter and one or two vans, and owners who dispatch a handful of technicians. It fits best when most of the work is car keys, transponders, remotes and lockouts.
Does Nyrano work for locksmiths who do not do car keys?
Yes, with a caveat. Jobs, quotes, customers, stock, payments, dispatch and follow-ups work for residential and commercial locksmith work too. The vehicle records will simply stay empty. Nyrano has no tools for designing master key systems or managing access control projects, so a shop that lives on those should look at software built for them.
How is Nyrano different from Jobber, Tradify or ServiceM8?
Those are general field service tools, made for trades that visit a property, and they do scheduling and invoicing well. Nyrano is narrower. It stores the key blank, chip, frequency and bitting for every vehicle, counts key blanks and chips as stock that drops when a job uses them, and follows up with the customer on WhatsApp. If your shop is mostly car keys, that difference shows up every day. If you run a mixed trade business, a general tool may suit you better.
Does Nyrano look up key codes or decode VINs?
No. Nyrano is not a key code database and does not convert a VIN into a key code or chip type. It stores the key data you enter for each vehicle, so you look it up once and find it again in seconds. Keep your code lookup service for the codes themselves.
Price and access
What does Nyrano cost?
Nyrano is free during the early-access beta. Paid plans will follow the beta, and the prices are not published yet.
How do I join the beta?
Request early access from the form on the home page. New shops are brought on in small batches so each one gets help with setup. You can also book a live demo first and decide afterwards.
Can I import my existing customers and stock?
Yes. Customers and stock can be imported from a CSV file, which any spreadsheet can export. During the beta we help with the import, including cleaning up the columns.
Mobile app
Is there a mobile app?
Yes, for Android. It is built for the roadside: it shows the next job, walks through the job one step at a time, records payments, adjusts stock, and shares the technician's location with the dispatch board while they are on shift. During the beta we install it directly for early-access shops. It is not on Google Play yet, and there is no iPhone app yet. The web app opens in a phone browser in the meantime.
Can my technicians use it without seeing the finances?
Yes. The owner decides what each role can see and do. A field technician can work their own jobs without access to takings, costs, reports or settings, and individual permissions can be adjusted per person.
Invoicing and payments
How does invoicing work?
Nyrano records the charge, the VAT and how the customer paid: cash, card terminal or bank transfer, in full or in part, and what is still owed. UK invoices and accounting links such as Xero are not in Nyrano yet, so for now you issue the invoice in your own invoicing or accounting tool.
Does Nyrano take card payments?
Nyrano records how a job was paid (cash, card terminal, bank transfer or other) and tracks part payments and open balances. It does not process card payments itself. You keep your own card terminal or bank.
WhatsApp follow-ups and reviews
How do the WhatsApp follow-ups work?
After a job is paid, the customer gets a short WhatsApp message from your own business number, by default the next day, asking if everything works. Replies land in your normal WhatsApp Business app, so you keep chatting the way you do today. If a reply says something is wrong, you get an email so you can call the customer back. The message is not sent during your quiet hours, and anyone who replies "stop" is never messaged again.
Is the follow-up compliant with GDPR and WhatsApp rules?
It is designed to be. The message is a service check-in about work you did, not a promotion. It is sent only after a real job, respects the quiet hours you set, and the same customer is not asked for a review twice within 90 days. Anyone who replies "stop" is never messaged again. You should still tell customers at the job that you will check in the next day.
Data and security
Where is my data stored?
In the European Union. The database is hosted in an EU region and handled under GDPR. Each shop sees only its own data. The full list of providers that touch your data is on the sub-processors page, and the terms are in the Data Processing Agreement.
What happens to my data if I stop using Nyrano?
Your data stays yours. The owner can download everything at any time as one ZIP file of spreadsheets: customers, cars with their key details, jobs, quotes, sales and stock. Reports also export to PDF, and under GDPR you can ask for the account and its data to be deleted. Deleted records sit in a bin for 3 days in case of mistakes, and a closed account is removed after 30 days.
Who is behind Nyrano?
Nyrano is built and run in Romania, in the European Union, by its founder, Gabriel. More on the About page. You can reach us at contact@nyrano.com.
